Danilo Lo Pumo

Until 2021 I studied Bachelor of Arts at the University of Zurich.
During my time at the University of Zurich, I was not only able to acquire a sound knowledge of political science and philosophy, but also to exercise my commitment to the board of the Polito professional association. I am completing the specialisations "Swiss Politics" and "Political Philosophy" as well as "International Relations" during my stay abroad at Leiden University College in The Hague. I found my specialisation in the subject "European Integration".
Danilo Lo Pumo studied political science and philosophy at the University of Zurich. He has been active with Volt Europa since 2019, co-founding Volt Switzerland as an official party and playing a key role in its registration as an associate member organisation of the pan-European party, Volt Europa.
As an openly homosexual man with a migrant background, he is committed to a more progressive Switzerland that upholds the rights and protection of the LGBTQ+ community and reflects social realities in politics.
The local council election in Zurich is the first time Volt is running in an election in Switzerland. Volt wants to draw attention to its concerns and offer voters an unprecedented alternative to the nationally organised parties in Switzerland.
This is what I stand for
- Social policy
- European policy
- LGBTQ+ Rights and Gender Equality
- Asylum and migration policy
